Compressed air systems are operated under extreme conditions - lubricants are subject to extreme stress. Compared with lubricant change intervals in vehicles, which typically occur between 10,000 and 15,000 km, the service interval of 4,000 hours (screw) and 2,000 hours (vane) is equivalent to 200,000 km. Therefore it is vital that you use a genuine lubricant to protect the investment in the compressor and preserve its effective working life. The use of non-genuine lubricants will cost you time and money and invalidate the compressor owner’s warranty.
